Door Supervision
A good door supervisor prevents far more than they remove. Most of the job is conversation.

- Who it's for
- Venues, event organisers, wedding venues and private hosts.

Standards at the door
Licensed, presentable, calm and consistent. Officers who escalate quickly cost venues money in incidents, complaints and licensing attention.
Where we supply
Door supervision is not only a nightclub activity. Where the environment calls for it, appropriately licensed door staff support a wide range of settings.
- Licensed venues, bars, hotels and restaurants
- Events and one-off productions
- Private functions and house events
- Weddings, where the venue or its licence requires door staff
- Sports and combat sports events
- Corporate events and hospitality environments
Licensing, stated accurately
SIA licensing is activity-based. Door supervision is its own licensable activity, and it is not the same licence as close protection or security guarding. We do not claim that every member of TACT personnel holds a Door Supervisor licence.
Personnel are selected and deployed according to the licensable activity and the requirements of the assignment. Where the activity is door supervision, the officers deployed hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence. TACT does not hold or claim SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status.
Common questions
- Can you cover at short notice?
- Often yes, subject to availability. Regular bookings are easier to guarantee.
- Do all TACT personnel hold a Door Supervisor licence?
- No. SIA licensing is activity-based, and personnel are selected and deployed according to the licensable activity and assignment requirements. Where door supervision is required, the officers deployed hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
- Do we need door supervisors at a wedding?
- Sometimes. Some venues require licensed door staff as a condition of their premises licence or insurance, particularly where a late bar is running. Your venue will confirm, and we can speak to them directly.
