Protection
24/7 Close Protection
Round-the-clock cover is a staffing problem before it is a security problem. Get the rotation wrong and the protection degrades by day three.
- What this is
- Continuous protection requires shifts, rest, handovers and a written picture that survives a change of personnel. We build rotations that keep officers sharp rather than stretching a small number of people until quality drops.
- Who it's for
- Clients with a live concern that doesn't stop at the end of a shift.
- Where we work
- Cotswolds · Gloucestershire · London · UK · Worldwide
- Why TACT
- Assignment-led personnel selection, preparation before presence, and no unnecessary theatre. A new name built on experience.

How 24/7 cover is structured
Continuous protection requires shifts, rest, handovers and a written picture that survives a change of personnel. We build rotations that keep officers sharp rather than stretching a small number of people until quality drops.
Handovers are where continuity is usually lost. Ours are structured: what happened, what changed, what is expected, what is outstanding.
When it is genuinely needed
Sustained threat or harassment, a high-profile period, an ongoing legal matter, a residence that cannot be left unattended, or a client whose routine simply does not stop. Where continuous cover is not warranted, we will suggest a narrower pattern instead.
Common questions
- How many officers are needed for 24/7 cover?
- As a rule, continuous single-post cover requires a team of officers working in shifts. The exact number depends on shift length, rest requirements and the length of the assignment.
- Can 24/7 cover start at short notice?
- Often yes, though a full rotation may build over the first days. We will be specific about what is available immediately.
