Where event security sits at TACT
TACT is a close protection and specialist security company first. Sports and combat sports remain our specialist event capability — fight nights, promotions, athletes and backstage areas are handled by people who have worked that environment.
General event work sits alongside that as a secondary capability. It is staffed to the same standard, and it is often the route by which a client discovers they actually need protection for one or two individuals rather than security for a room.

- How many security staff does my event need?
- It depends on capacity, alcohol, layout and licensing conditions. We will give you a recommendation and the reasoning behind it.
- Can you cover a fight night or sports event?
- Yes — that is a specialist area for us rather than an add-on. Sports, boxing, MMA and fight night work is planned and staffed separately from general event cover.
- Do you provide door supervisors as part of event cover?
- Where the activity is licensable as door supervision, we deploy personnel holding the appropriate SIA licence for that activity. Staffing is decided by what the assignment actually requires.
