What Does Fight Night Security Involve?
Work through the run sheet and the security plan writes itself. Skip that step and the night is improvised.
Doors to first bell
Entry searching, capacity, seating disputes and early alcohol. This period sets the tone; a firm, polite door reduces problems for the next four hours.
Through the card
As the night runs, the crowd gets louder and the backstage population grows. Access points that were quiet at 6pm need reinforcing by 9pm.
Main event and result
Walk-outs cross public space with maximum attention. Results produce the biggest emotional swing of the evening. Both need named officers with a specific job, not general cover.
Load-out and exit
Fighters, VIPs and staff all leave through a venue emptying at once. Vehicle positioning arranged at the start of the night is what makes this straightforward.
